United Kingdom fans love pro wrestling, but they don’t get much love from North American wrestling companies. WWE won’t even hold pay-per-views there any more because of the time difference although it doesn’t seem to be an issue for Saudi Arabia.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed AEW’s plans to hold a larger event in the United Kingdom. It is apparently something that they are planning, but no date has been set.

“UK is certainly on the radar. I don’t know of a date. It’s been talked about, but yeah something that’s been talked about is actually running a pay-per-view there. They only have 4 pay-per-views.”

“The goal absolutely is to run a pay-per-view out of the UK because of the feeling that they haven’t had a UK show since years and years ago. WWE should have ran a UK pay-per-view years ago — the time difference is the reason now.”

AEW has a lot of decisions to make. The United Kingdom fan base would certainly love to have a big event that they can attend without having to fly across an ocean.
