Tommaso Ciampa Looks Ahead To WWE NXT Title Match At NXT TakeOver: Portland

It’s been signed, sealed and delivered: Tommaso Ciampa will be going head to head with Adam Cole in Portland for the right to be called NXT Champion once again.

His precious “Goldie” has been away from him for quite some time now, and with WrestleMania weekend being right around the corner, now would be the perfect time for him to recapture the gold and really give himself a boost as we look ahead to Tampa.

The man himself took to social media in order to let his beloved Goldie know that it won’t be too long until they’re reunited once again.

One idea that has popped into the head of many fans over the last few weeks is for Ciampa to capture the title from Cole in Portland, freeing Adam up for something bigger during Mania weekend, allowing Johnny Gargano to come into the mix in his place and resume the feud between the two men that was supposed to be blown off last year.

If that did happen, it would mark the three year anniversary of this extraordinary feud that has been going on between the former DIY teammates.

We aren’t sure what the alignment of either man would be but in a situation like this, it’s obviously important to take things one step at a time.

Getting past Cole isn’t going to be the easiest of tasks, and if he’s unable to do so, it could free up some space for the likes of Keith Lee or Velveteen Dream to pop up and challenge for the NXT Championship.
