Marty Scurll is in a very powerful bargaining position right now. He is a free agent, but he hasn’t left ROH completely.

Scurll has been appearing for ROH even after his contract ended on November 30th. There is a lot going on in this situation. ROH doesn’t want to lose Scurll so the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that they’re offering him big money to stay.

We had heard Scurll was being offered a better deal than the one Matt Taven signed for. We don’t have it confirmed that he signed it. It’s a great deal as it’s basically WWE main roster money while only working maybe 40 dates per year for ROH and certain unique perks.

New Japan could also play a factor in this deal. ROH did not allow Marty Scurll to work the Super J Cup last year when he wanted to. AEW could always be a contender for The Villain’s services as well. At this point, it’s all up to what Marty Scurll wants to do next.

Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
