The actions of Diamond Dallas Page on AEW Dynamite last night were certainly entertaining, although it did come a little bit out of nowhere.

The veteran has been a steady presence in All Elite Wrestling ever since its inception, with some believing that it was only a matter of time until he stepped back in the ring to compete. With DDP now seemingly being booked for next week, fans can look forward to seeing what else he has to offer.

The man himself decided to clarify why he went after MJF and his crew last night on Dynamite, and the reasoning makes a whole lot of sense.

There’s something to be said for an old school legend coming back and proving that he’s still got it in one way or another, and those Cutters served as evidence that this guy still has a little bit of juice left in the tank – which is great to see.

A whole lot of fans and pundits believed that AEW was going to run out of steam pretty quickly in 2020 after a big debut year in 2019. Now, though, it doesn’t appear as if that’s going to be the case, and they’re instead going from strength to strength with their next big show being right around the corner.

Pride in wrestling is a funny thing and it can take on many different forms, but once things get personal (even from a storyline point of view), it becomes obvious that it’ll often change the entire dynamic.
