The Revival are Top Guys who are known for being all about no flips, just fists. Now they’re going to be all about the punchlines too.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the current plan is to turn The Revival into “comedy characters.” It is said that there are “mixed feelings” about this idea.

It might get shut down, but the entire bit where Dash Wilder tripped on Friday Night SmackDown “was supposed to be the start of it.” Also, The Revival still haven’t signed new WWE contracts so they might not have much time left in WWE.

The Revival only has a few months left on their contracts and haven’t agreed to a new deal after attempting to get a release months ago. The proposed idea is to do a spoof of the Fabulous Ones, which, funny enough, is actually the original Fargos heel gimmick in the late 50s.

Fans might need to get used to seeing Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson embarrass themselves on television. At least it could be that way until their WWE contracts expire.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
