AEW and NXT both brought big shows this week, but NXT won the night.

December 18th was an important night for both pro wrestling shows. It was the final live show of the year. Both shows were stacked as well.

Showbuzz Daily reports that NXT pulled in 795,000 viewers against AWE Dynamite who closed out 2019 with a viewership of 683,000. NXT also won in the adult and younger demographics. This is the first time that WWE NXT has defeated AEW across the board in all demographics.

We’ll have to see if AEW can pull things up in 2020. They have a big January 1st show that they have been heavily promoting.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
