Cain Velasquez debuted for WWE during the conclusion of SmackDown’s debut on FOX. Then he wrestled in Saudi Arabia and again in Mexico. Now fans are waiting to see the two-time UFC Heavyweight Champion again.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that “Cain Velasquez’s next booking is for the Royal Rumble show.”

Cain Velasquez is currently doing well in the betting odds to win the 2020 Royal Rumble match. A win in that match could set up a Brock Lesnar rematch at WrestleMania 36.

Velasquez could still need knee surgery. He was reportedly contemplating having stem cell treatments to avoid going under the knife. He signed a three-year WWE deal so he will compete again.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
