Joaquin Wilde suffered a terrible injury that put him out of action for months. Now the former DJZ is ready to take the WWE Universe by storm.

The NXT Superstar was part of the breakout tournament and then he was sidelined with an eye injury that needed surgery. This was terrible timing as it happened just after his debut and before NXT premiered on the USA Network.

Wilde wrestled on 205 Live last night marking his debut for the show. After his victory, he was elated to have come so far. Now that he’s in WWE, Wilde will make the most of it that he can.

“It’s an adrenaline rush. For the last five months I’ve been sitting at home watching 205 Live, watching NXT, watching WWE grow and I’m left on the sidelines, not getting to be a part of it not getting to grow with the brand.”

“Tonight, tonight was my first opportunity at 205 Live — a dream come true. A goal I’ve had for years and years and to win — make my debut make an impact. I can’t think of any better way to start my return to WWE.”

It is interesting that he decided to use the word “impact” in his promo considering the fact that he spent a lot of time taking bumps for TNA. We’ll have to see what’s next for Joaquin Wilde in WWE, but he seems to be on the right track after a bit of a slow start.
