Big Title Change Expected On WWE NXT Next Week

WWE has two big title matches booked for NXT next week. Finn Balor will challenge Adam Cole for the NXT Title. Shayna Baszler will also defend her title against Rhea Ripley. It seems like it is time to end The Queen Of Spades’ reign as champion.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed the upcoming NXT Women’s Title match. He explained how everything is lining up that we could very well see a new NXT Women’s Champion on December 18th.

“#1 it’s time to do the title change. #2 it’s the right person to do the title change with. #3 [Rhea Ripley] has momentum so the timing is perfect. #4 it’s time for Shayna to go to the main roster. So all of that adds up to if they don’t do a title change they missed it.”

We’ll have to see what happens in this situation. Shayna Baszler has surprised fans before by retaining the NXT Women’s Title when few thought it was possible. She might have met her match with Rhea Ripley meaning we could see a huge passing of the torch moment on NXT next week.
