WWE Releases The Ascension From Contracts

The Ascension were once the longest reigning NXT Tag Team Champions in history. They had a lot of momentum behind them and then they were moved up to the main roster and fizzled quickly.

Now WWE has confirmed the releases of both Konnor and Viktor. They join Sin Cara and Luke Harper in today’s releases.

WWE has come to terms on the releases of Jonathan Huber (Luke Harper), Sin Cara and Ryan Parmeter (Konnor) and Eric Thompson (Viktor) of The Ascension.

This is an interesting release, but they were also never used. It’s been a very long time since they were even seen chasing the WWE 24/7 Title.

The two were able to display a bit of their personalities as part of Fashion Files segments, but nothing developed past that. Hopefully, they have much better days ahead.
