AEW is planning another pay-per-view for 2020. They are certainly putting down building blocks that will lead to big matches, but we don’t know when their next event is.

There are plenty of reasons why All Elite Wrestling is keeping their next pay-per-view date close to the vest. They want to avoid any chance to WWE interference and other competition.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the next AEW pay-per-view will likely be in February. The company also realizes that there is much greater competition on Saturdays than on Sundays.

All Elite Wrestling wants to avoid competition from WWE on Sunday nights. They realize the amount of other events that are scheduled for Saturdays as well. Full Gear was against the Logan Paul vs KSI fight and they don’t want another repeat of that.

Since Jon Jones’ next fight is scheduled for February 8th and Tyson Fury’s next fight in on February 22nd, they want to avoid those dates. There is also another UFC event on February 15th.

Since AEW wants to avoid the obvious competition that is already there, there are seemingly two Saturdays possible for the next event: February 1st and the 29th.

We’ll have to see what AEW can work out in regards to finding a venue. That certainly could play a factor in figuring out their next pay-per-view date as well.
