WWE can sometimes make changes up until the start of the show. They can also switch things around during a match if Vince McMahon decides to go another way. It turns out that WWE had a different finish in mind this week from the one they ended up going with.

Loose Lips Backstage on Reddit has nailed several stories in recent memory. Not only did they call the Lana and Bobby Lashley arrest angle spot on, but their track record prior to that has been on point as well.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Randy Orton was supposed to be in the main event six-man tag match instead of Rey Mysterio. Apparently, that might not be the case.

Loose Lips Backstage says that WWE had no plans to put Randy Orton in the main event match this week on Raw. The finish did need to be altered slightly because RKO was supposed to interfere during the actual match instead.

There were NO plans for Orton to officially be a part of this match. Original script had same six men in match, just different finish. Original was Orton interfering during the match and giving Styles an RKO which led to Mysterio pinning Styles for the win. Then Orton would give RKOs to Anderson and Gallows.

Again, there were no plans to have Orton in the match.

It seems like all of this is headed toward a big match at TLC of some kind. We’ll have to see what the company ends up booking, but we have some pretty good ideas what the card will look like so far.
