Vince McMahon makes a lot of very important decisions and he is now approaching pay-per-view events a little differently.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Vince McMahon has a new philosophy in regards to pay-per-views. Since pay-per-view business is so down the only thing that really matters is driving more subscribers to the WWE Network.

McMahon’s new philosophy is that the PPV’s are all about network sign-ups, as opposed to the limited PPV business still being done. The belief based on patterns of sign-ups is that they are big the last day of the show, and not before.

It was also noted that live ticket sales are different because they need to make those plans at least a month in advance. Pay-per-view parties don’t take as long to plan. Now “the dynamic is completely different and there is no need to rush anything.”

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
