AEW Star Files Interesting Trademarks

It’s always a good idea to own the name that you use on television. You never know when it might come in handy and Shawn Spears understands that well.

According to recent filings, Shawn Spears has filed trademarks for “The Chairman” and “Perct10n.” Those are both associated with his merchandising and in-ring character in All Elite Wrestling.

These trademarks were filed on November 29th for use in merchandising purposes and in pro wrestling as well.

It’s a smart move to own these names before someone else snatches them up. It will also be very interesting to see if he encounters an issue copyrighting “The Chairman.”
