WWE airs their NXT program every Wednesday night. That hasn’t changed since they debuted on the USA Network, but your DVR might not realize that.

During PW Insider Elite audio, Mike Johnson mentioned a change that some cable systems are making this week. NXT is now listed as “WWE NXT” which could cause a problem. He then proceeded to explain why this might be an issue for some fans.

“Very important. As of today, NXT is listed as ‘WWE NXT’ on the cable guides. Now I know this is just a small little minor thing and you’re like, ‘Of course it’s WWE NXT, but if your DVR is set for a ‘series record’ or even an ‘episode record’ for NXT it may not pick it up anymore due to the change.”

If your weekly Wednesday night ritual includes recording NXT on your DVR then you might need to give that a look. If they did change the name of NXT on your cable guide then it will create a new show file so fans might be required to program a new task to record the series.
