WWE’s Original Plan For Shayna Baszler In 2020

Shayna Baszler won the main event at Survivor Series. During her post-match celebration, Becky Lynch got even and ended up standing tall at the end of the night. It seems that WWE dropped a huge hint about their plans for Baszler

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that the end of Survivor Series was all about Shayna Baszler. It appears that they are grooming The Man vs The Queen Of Spades because WWE’s original plan was for Baszler to be on the main roster by 2020.

The idea of the match, and really the entire angle, was for Baszler. Baszler carries herself and talks like a badass bully. The original plan was for her to be on the main roster in 2020. Based on so much of the build, and the match and post-match, it appeared she was being groomed for Lynch.

We’ll have to see what’s next for Shayna Baszler in WWE. She has a lot of potential and is putting out high quality matches. The main roster can always change someone’s push in WWE, but it appears by the Survivor Series conclusion that she’s off to a great start.
