Corey Graves fired off a tweet directed at Mauro Ranallo after NXT TakeOver: WarGames. This caused Ranallo to leave Twitter a short time later.

Graves issued an apology during his After The Bell podcast. Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that Graves intended on this tweet to further the brand rivalry going on between the main roster and NXT.

According to sources, Corey wrote those tweets to play into the brand warfare element of Survivor Series and the SmackDown announcer planned to bring them up on commentary in a joking manner when he was joined by Mauro at the desk the following day.

Obviously, Mauro Ranallo was not appreciative of this joke. He left before Survivor Series, but as Bryan Alvarez reported, he and Frank Shamrock arrived at Survivor Series during the day, but he left a short time later.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
