After what felt like a bit of a break from All Elite Wrestling, Shawn Spears finally appears to be diving headfirst back into the action – and we mean that both in and out of the ring.

While Spears may eventually become a really fun babyface, much as he should’ve been at the highest level on the main roster in WWE as Tye Dillinger, he’s doing pretty well for himself as a bad guy over in AEW.

He was able to get back to winning ways recently after a bad loss against Cody Rhodes at All Out, and now, he’s ready to continue his push towards the top of the roster.

It seems as if his triumph over Joey Janela at Full Gear wasn’t enough, as he continues to insist that his style of wrestling is ‘trash’ – which, ironically enough, isn’t exactly the most unpopular opinion in all of wrestling.

The way in which Spears is viewed amongst the AEW fanbase varies, and it won’t be until he gets an even bigger body of work under his belt that we’ll be able to really know what sort of a tenure he’s likely to have.

Janela’s style ensures that he’ll always be hanging around from time to time, as we’ve come to expect, but he’ll probably never ascend to the heights of challenging for a world title.

Then again, stranger things have happened, and it already seems as if AEW aren’t going to operate in a conventional manner by any means.
