WWE has all sorts of ways that they can write a Superstar off of television. It looks like they tried something else this week.

Dave Meltzer said during Wrestling Observer Radio that despite bleeding like crazy from her nose and WWE Now reporting her injury, Aliyah’s “broken nose” was planned.

“So Aliyah didn’t break her nose. Aliyah is having surgery on her nose — that was planned. So I don’t know if it’s a problem when her nose, most likely a nose job, but it’s one of the two. So they shot an angle on the show on Wednesday night which would explain her being out and the nose surgery, but she was not injured. The kick never even came close to her nose that was supposed to break her nose.”

“The irony is that Mia Yim did get a broken nose from the ladder shot to her nose. If you were a booker you wouldn’t book two broken noses on the same show, but the second one wasn’t booked.”

It was explained that they faked Aliyah’s broken nose to write her off of television. This is a very interesting decision. They also apparently went all out with trying to convince us that Aliyah’s injury was real because WWE Now included some very bloody footage of an upset Aliyah in the trainer’s room.
