William Regal Reveals Open Heart Surgery

William Regal has been an influential part of every incarnation of NXT. He also had a storied pro wrestling career before that. He took some time away from the WWE Performance Center, and although he did remain NXT General Manger, he was seldom seen. Now we know what he was doing.

Regal revealed today that it has been one year since he had open heart surgery. He’s doing much better now, but until he revealed this news we had no idea what his issue was.

1 year ago today I had open heart surgery to remove a calcified pericardium. Just wanted to get that out as I’m healthy and fit as a butchers dog now. Just wanted to get that out as I’m dedicated to my family and NXT. Please don’t reply, it’s just life.

This is pretty surprising news, but we’re just glad he’s doing much better now. Now he can focus on his family and NXT without worrying about his health right now.
