All Elite Wrestling needed to crown AEW World Tag Team Champions and they did so with a World Tag Team tournament. Now it looks like they’re going to add even more gold to the company.

During a teleconference from Starrcast IV, Cody Rhodes revealed that he doesn’t like the term “mid card” when associated with a title. He was once IC Champion in WWE and he wanted to elevate that title. The “secondary” title can be big and make people care about it. This has been proven at Wrestle Kingdom and SummerSlam 1992.

Rhodes went on to say that there are plans to introduce a new “prize” to AEW next month. He wants this title to mean just as much as any other in the company.

We previously reported that Cody Rhodes dropped a big hint that an AEW Television Title could be on the way. We’ll have to see if those are the plans he’s alluding to.
