WWE brought the biggest show they could to FOX. The ratings are in and they are quite solid.

The first hour of SmackDown did 3.9 million viewers with the second dropping slightly to 3.8. That is an incredibly solid start on FOX.

It is interesting that the second hour dipped slightly considering the big WWE Title match that WWE had in store for fans. Perhaps once some viewers saw The Rock that’s all they needed to see.

It will be interesting to see if WWE can continue this strong rating. They didn’t seem to book anything for next week and only mildly promoted Hell In A Cell.

This is a marathon and not a sprint. WWE has five more years on their FOX deal so hopefully, this is just the beginning.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
