Bayley’s recent actions certainly seem to signify a heel turn, but if you ask her nothing’s changed.

The Hugger is still SmackDown Women’s Champion and she has her title thanks to some quick and underhanded thinking at Clash Of Champions. This followed up a beat down of Becky Lynch with a steel chair. Those are not actions typical of Bayley

Bayley spoke to Fox 5 Atlanta this week and she claims that nothing has changed about her character. She’s just the same Bayley helping out a friend in Sasha Banks.

“Nothing’s changing [with my character]. I know a lot of people are asking about my actions lately, but do you have a best friend? And would you do anything for your best friend? [Well], that’s what I’ve been doing. Sasha Banks is literally my best friend, the best person I’ve ever met in my whole life, and I would do anything for her. And if anybody has a problem with her, I have to just be there for her and be by her side. And that’s all I’m doing. I’m a champion, kids look up to me. I am a role model.”

We’ll have to see what is next for Bayley, but she could be holding the SmackDown Women’s Title during a very important portion of the blue brand’s history as they move to Fox.
