It seems that it is becoming more frequent to hear a pro wrestler say that they didn’t hear about a story that directly changes their lives util they read it online. That is apparently what just happened to Impact Wrestling.

Anthem Sports, Impact Wrestling’s parent company bought a majority stake in AXS TV, so now Impact has a home. As TJP revealed to Wrestling Inc, the company didn’t really let anyone know about that beforehand.

“I don’t know that anybody knew at the time that we were at TV because there was no meeting or maybe they weren’t ready to tell everybody yet. Or maybe I just wasn’t paying attention. I daydream a lot and am usually not too concerned about details of stuff that isn’t something that somebody needs me to do. But it’s a step in the right direction. I feel their show is about as complete a package as it’s ever been. Having been there during various stages, this is the best form it’s ever been and I felt their distribution deal was holding them back. Now they have a chance to make up a lot of that ground and I’m looking forward to the opportunity.”

We’ll have to see how Impact Wrestling’s new home might help the company. AXS TV could certainly provide Impact Wrestling with a much better fan base.

AXS TV is also changing a lot with their MMA coverage going away and more employees expected to be laid off. NJPW and WOW’s future on the network might be a big question mark as well.

This is just another example of how the pro wrestling landscape continues to change.
