Chris Jericho is still waiting for a “thank you” from AEW, but he’s also well aware what side he is fighting for in the Wednesday Night Wars.

Y2J took to Twitter after it was announced that WWE is moving NXT to the USA Network starting on September 18th. This historic shot in the Wednesday Night Wars will come two weeks before AEW’s first sold-out show airs live on TNT from the Capitol One Arena in Washington, DC.

He congratulated NXT at first, but then Jericho mentioned how interesting it will be when the world decides which company they like more. Because even though Chris Jericho might be sincerely congratulating them on this big move, it’s still a war between the two companies.

Congrats to @WWENXT for making the big move to the @USA_Network! Runners always race faster when somebody is right behind them. Gonna be fun to see which team the world decides to join! #ChooseJericho @AEWrestling @AEWonTNT

Chris Jericho obviously sees this as a war between the two companies. Because Y2J also took to Instagram and posted the cover of Fozzy’s 2014 single “Do You Wanna Start A War.” This was obviously put out there for a reason because that title seems to be very appropriate right about now.
