Eric Bischoff started his job at Executive Director of SmackDown Live weeks ago, but his involvement with SmackDown is very different from Paul Heyman’s role on Raw with the same title.

Bryan Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Live that at this point Eric Bischoff doesn’t seem to have put anything into the creative direction of WWE’s blue brand. Therefore, if you enjoyed SmackDown Live last night then Eric Bischoff doesn’t need any thanks for that.

“So far to the best of my knowledge after talking to people there all Eric Bischoff has done was show up to work. So, this is not an Eric Bischoff show. He didn’t write this show. I don’t think he had anything to do with this show. This is a I believe Bruce Prichard and Kapoor are putting these together and obviously Vince McMahon is the top guy.”

Perhaps after Eric Bischoff gets more adjusted he could have some input when it comes to SmackDown’s creative direction. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case at this point.
