WWE is holding a King Of The Ring event with 16 competitors from Raw and SmackDown Live. They didn’t give us a lot of information during RAW last night, but now we know a little bit more about what to expect.

F4WOnline reports that the King Of The Ring finale will take place at Clash Of Champions on September 15th. They will air the multi-week tournament on both RAW and SmackDown Live leading up to the event.

This tournament is expected to fall in line with previous years so it will be single-elimination. The eight wrestlers on Raw and eight from SmackDown will compete, but no match-ups or brackets have been released at this time.

This is the kind of boost of nostalgia that WWE loves to bring back every now and then. At this time there is no word on how this tournament will alter any title pictures or what the winner might get.
