WWE’s deal with Fox has opened the door for them to move NXT to FS1. Now we know even more details about that move.

NXT has been on Wednesday nights for a very long time on the WWE network. This was something that Triple H made sure to announce during his teleconference call earlier today. He also wanted to make the point that if anyone is counter-programming on Wednesday nights between them and AEW, then NXT certainly had the spot first.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that NXT is set to be a two hour show on FS1. This Wednesday night show is slated to air between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM EST, however, it’s not know how Big East basketball might eventually affect it.

While not announced, the NXT on FS 1 is tentatively set for 8-10 p.m. on Wednesday nights. For obvious reasons, that was the time slot expected but this was the first info we were given listing a time slot. Of course it wasn’t going to be finalized until TNT announced the time slot.

There is also an idea to make this a live show compared to the previously taped format because it “will not work to head-off AEW” if it’s still being taped.

WWE also feels as though they have the advantage over AEW because they have a lot more talent that they can shuffle between shows to have appear on FS1 such as main roster Superstars.

The idea is to continue at Full Sail University for now, but that crowd might get tired of showing up every week so they may “they tape it or tour with it.” It was also said that this deal was “largely agreed to in late June, or early July.”
