Maria Kanellis is the first-ever pregnant champion in WWE, but how long will she keep the title?

WWE posted a RAW preview for next week and in the process, they touched on Maria Kanellis. In the blurb to hype next week’s show, they also thew out a very interesting idea that Maria Kanellis might just remain champion throughout the remainder of her pregnancy

By “defeating” her husband and capturing the 24/7 Title, Maria Kanellis became WWE’s first-ever pregnant champion, and despite Drake Maverick’s social media bravado, no Superstar has dared to challenge her for her newly won prize. Will Maria remain our 24/7 Champion until her second child is born?

We’ve seen the Universal Title essentially held hostage before by Brock Lesnar when he just doesn’t show up, but a pregnant champion is a different type of having your hands tied in terms of what you can do.

Maria Kanellis can’t take a bump while pregnant and she isn’t even going near the ring in her current condition. However, WWE could always arrange for her to lose the title off-screen as they needed to twice during the RAW Reunion when legends couldn’t be pinned for medical issues. Or, Maria could just remain WWE 24/7 Champion throughout the remainder of her pregnancy.
