The Street Profits have been featured on television for weeks now as NXT Tag Team Champions, but they haven’t mixed it up in the ring just yet. Regardless of not working a match, Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford have still received a great spotlight.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that despite appearing on the show every week, WWE has no plans to have the Street Profits actually wrestle a match yet. They are still the NXT Tag Team Champions which is a great advertisement for NXT.

At this point, at least for now, there are no plans for The Street Profits to do anything but what they are doing on Raw, meaning no plans for them to wrestle at this time on Raw. By wearing the NXT tag titles in all of their segments, while this is not the main reason they’re on the show, it is considered an advertisement for NXT and that if you like them and want to see them, that NXT is where you see them wrestle

Fans are surly getting interested in The Street Profits by their performances backstage during Raw each week. Therefore, it is a great little commercial for NXT. During the Raw Reunion they even made headlines by making an obvious joke about RVD’s pot smoking as well. So they are doing a great job so far.

Let’s just see how long they will hold onto those NXT Tag Team Titles before becoming official Raw Superstars who actually compete in the ring.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
