Fox Reportedly Wants WWE NXT Champion

NXT has plenty of incredibly talented Superstars. There is a reason why they made it this far and got on Triple H and William Regal’s radar. Now it looks like Shayna Baszler has made it onto Fox’s radar as well.

Brad Shepard reports that a source in the company has told him that Fox wants NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler. It’s not clear whether they want her on the blue brand’s show full-time, but we can only assume it won’t be for a guest spot.

Baszler has done nothing but impress since coming to NXT and plenty of fans have thought up dream matches for her to have. Now it looks like that might be a step closer for her as WWE keeps moving toward those big new television contracts.

At 38 years old, Baszler might be a little bit older than some NXT Superstars, but considering the fact that she spent a majority of her life in MMA her body hasn’t taken the bumps from a pro wrestling ring for decades like most people at her age in the business. She is in great shape and has an incredible ability to work in the ring as well. Let’s just see where this leads, but it wouldn’t be surprising at all to see Baszler finally get her main roster call up soon enough.
