Cody Rhodes had a chance to speak to the media after AEW Fight For The Fallen. AEW had just completed their third pro wrestling event and everyone was very tired after such a long night in extremely warm Jacksonville weather. However, this is still just the beginning of their journey.

Rhodes opened up about AEW’s conception and admitted that everything about the entire situation has been ridiculous so far. However, this is a very real thing that will also continue.

“Everything about AEW has been ridiculous. We’re gonna start a wrestling company, that’s tough. Hey, the four of you Matt, Nick, Kenny you guys are gonna run it and I’m the owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars — all this stuff sounds so ridiculous, so absolutely, the roots are deep here [in Jacksonville]. Like I got roots here because of Dusty, but that’s one thing, but AEW’s roots are here. I mean if we had a home this would be one of them Atlanta, Chicago, here so much work gets done.”

We will have to see what is next for AEW, but we do know that there is a television show on the way in October on TNT. These things have fit together perfectly so far, so hopefully, they will be able to sustain popularity as they bring in new fans who realize what AEW is all about.
