Kenny Omega is not competing in the G1 Climax this year, but that doesn’t mean he won’t be paying attention. He has some friends in NJPW even if the company’s relationship with Omega isn’t the best right now.

On the Saturday afternoon before the G1 Climax 29 started, Kenny Omega posted a tweet in Japanese. When translated, it seems to point to the fact that even though he can’t predict who will win, he’s still watching and supporting everyone in the tournament.

Even if I can’t give a name, I’m still alive. Looking. I support you.

One person you know Kenny Omega will be watching and supporting is his old friend Kota Ibushi. He was brought to tears when talking about Ibushi during Starrcast and it’s obvious he misses his Golden Lovers tag team partner a lot.

Maybe one day Kenny Omega will be able to arrange a return to NJPW, but right now the relationship is apparently bit broken at the moment.
