Jon Moxley is working in NJPW as well as AEW. However, he isn’t the only former WWE Superstar to wind up in AEW who also spent some time wrestling for New Japan.

While speaking to New Japan’s website, Jon Moxley was asked if he was able to follow Cody Rhodes and Chris Jericho’s journeys in NJPW. Although he was rather busy as a WWE Superstar, Mox did say that he was able to at least catch the highlights.

Mox said that he wants to have a good run in NJPW which means that there could be plenty more violence in store for The Death Rider.

I tried to follow along with them. When you travel in WWE, you’re kind of in a bubble and it’s difficult to follow along, but I did watch what I could. Then when I knew I was leaving, Japan in general was definitely on my bucket list. I wanted to have a good run in Japan, and of course NJPW was the goal. So when I got the call from them, I was just like ‘let’s go, put me on the airplane’.

Moxley is very excited about the G1 Climax and everything New Japan will be able to offer him as IWGP United States Champion, but he has Fyter Fest to worry about first.

If Joey Janela has any say in things they’ll be sending that title back to NJPW with a note saying “sorry I destroyed your champion.”
