WWE RAW started up this week with Elias in the ring and cutting a promo on the LA crowd. However, that promo seemed very familiar to some fans.

During his Talk Is Jericho shoot interview, Jon Moxley described a promo that he rejected that WWE wanted him to spout to the LA crowd to get heat. He didn’t want to do the promo so they figured something else out that night.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained how WWE simply recycled this abandoned Dean Ambrose promo last night on RAW as they had Elias fill in.

“[Moxley] explained this whole thing that Vince wanted and he didn’t wanna do it and so Elias did it and it’s just like after a lot of people heard that podcast for them to go in there and have Elias do it. Is it like that’s almost kinda weird to me.”

“But it’s like ‘we liked it and we haven’t been in Los Angeles and now we’re in Los Angeles so goddamnit, we’re gonna have someone do this interview so we’ll have Elias do it and he did it.”

It is very interesting that WWE kept this promo for future use. It makes us wonder how many promos they have tucked away for the next time they visit and particular city that they can just dust off and use whenever the time is right.
