WWE Super ShowDown Results – June 7, 2019

WWE Super ShowDown from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, opens with a lengthy video package hyping the show. We go live to the arena and get loads of pyro.

Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring, kicking off the show with the WWE Universal Championship match! Seth’s outfit is like The Avengers’  time-suits in Endgame.

WWE Universal Championship Match
(C) Seth Rollins Vs. Baron Corbin

The match gets underway and they lock-up. Corbin forces Rollins to the corner but gets punches back. Corbin immediately attacks Seth’s injured mid-section, but Seth retaliates with a dropkick. Rollins looks for a springboard but Corbin hits the ropes and causes him to crash and burn. Corbin then lifts Rollins and drops him gut-first on the top rope, before picking apart Rollins with stomps.

Corbin lifts Rollins and drops him on the ropes again for a two count. Seth lands some shots but Corbin floors him with an in-and-out clothesline. Corbin keeps Rollins down with something of a bearhug, then scores another two count with a side slam. Rollins catches Corbin with an enziguiri via the ropes and both men are down.

Rollins unloads chops and punches to Baron, then hits a slingblade and Corbin rolls from the ring. Rollins hits a suicide dive, then a second and gets Baron back in the ring. The Champion looks for a frog splash – no notion of changing your move set when selling an injury – but Corbin pulls him off by the throat. Rollins rolls-up Corbin for a two count, followed by a superkick for another near-fall.

Seth stomps the band but Corbin rolls from the ring. Seth turns to hit the ropes but Baron comes back in and lifts him up and hits a spinning side slam. Rollins attacks Corbin with a superkick, looks for The Stomp but Corbin avoids it and hits Deep Six for a near-fall. Corbin looks for the in-and-out clothesline again but Rollins elbows him right back out of the ring. Corbin grabs a chair and brings it into the ring. The referee forces him to forget about it, so Corbin yells at him. The referee yells back and shoves Corbin into a roll-up from Rollins for the win!

Winner: Seth Rollins

Corbin grabs Rollins after the bell and hits the End of Days. Corbin then rolls from the ring and out comes The Beast, Brock Lesnar!

Lesnar comes with Heyman, a referee, and a steel chair. Heyman literally fell into the ring. Meanwhile Seth lowblows Brock as he was about to swing the chair. Rollins grabs the chair and wallops Brock across the back. He slams it in again and again. Brock grabs the briefcase and holds it while Seth batters him with the chair. Rollins then hits The Stomp onto the briefcase. And there you have it, another night where we were promised a cash-in and it didn’t happen. Lord knows how much Brock got paid for that 3 minute segment.

We return from a break and Lesnar is leaving the ring, battered and bruised. He leaves and walks to the back.
