Matt Riddle In Line For Huge Match

Matt Riddle’s emergence in NXT was very exciting for fans who followed him from UFC through the indies. However, NXT fans are just starting to get to know the Original Bro. Now he is incredibly over and poised for a huge push.

Riddle failed to capture the NXT North American Title from Velveteen Dream at NXT TakeOver: New York, however, he is in line for an even bigger match in Toronto.

Johnny Gargano vs Adam Cole will likely main event the NXT TakeOver: XXV event on June 1st. The winner of that NXT Title match is very likely to defend his championship against Matt Riddle at the NXT TakeOver event before SummerSlam as reported by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

The plan right now is for the Cole vs. Gargano winner to defend against Riddle on the Takeover show in Toronto

Matt Riddle has yet to pick up a title under the WWE umbrella yet. If the NXT Title is his first chance to hold gold in the company then he will be off to a great start.
