Chris Jericho Takes A Sarcastic Shot At WWE Following Brock Lesnar’s Money in the Bank Return
For everyone that says there isn’t going to be a war between WWE and All Elite Wrestling, we’d like to kindly point you in the direction of Chris Jericho’s recent social media activity.
Y2J hasn’t been shy when it comes to voicing his thoughts and opinions on the pro wrestling business, and that includes what he thinks about WWE. Of course, knowing Jericho he could always be trolling or messing around, but it all depends on how you read it.
Last night Brock Lesnar captured the Money in the Bank briefcase at the event in what was a pretty surprising moment. As a result, Chris decided to give his thoughts on the situation.
Some folks may think there isn’t all too much to read into regarding this post, but it’s quite clear to see that Jericho is making a very obvious statement about WWE’s main event scene.
AEW are set to burst into the limelight this weekend with their Double or Nothing event, which is expected to kickstart quite the ‘boom period’ in professional wrestling for the first time since the Monday Night Wars.
Jericho is going to be a big part of that, with his scheduled match against Kenny Omega being one of the biggest on the entire card. Regarding AEW’s ability to compete with WWE on a consistent basis, though, it’ll really depend on how much momentum they can build for themselves.
Either way, moves like this from Jericho are bound to cause some noise on social media and beyond.
