Ryback left WWE in 2016, but the company didn’t forget about him. Because a short time after his exit, Ryback received a rather threatening legal letter from Vince McMahon’s company.

The Big Guy was not shy whatsoever in sharing the contents of this letter recently and fans were rather shocked. WWE wanted Ryback to surrender his name and social media accounts as well as his website domain.

Brad Shepard commented on this release from Ryback and shared what a “high level source” in WWE had to say about this revelation from the former IC Champion.

A high level source in #WWE speaking to me on the @Ryback22 social media story: “I’ve seen the Ryback story. I mean yeah, he’s not lying but what is this really accomplishing besides getting himself some attention to try and move his supplements, and further burning the bridge.”

Ryback is not wrestling right now, but he has plans to make an in-ring return when he is physically able to. At this point he is relying on his company and other endeavors to help sustain him financially.

At least one person who is high up in WWE believes that Ryback is making all of this noise to further his own agenda though. It doesn’t make what he had to reveal any less factual or troubling.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
