WrestleMania is an exciting time of year, but WWE also sees it as the start of a new year in a lot of ways. This is the reason why we can usually see a couple of releases. Now it looks like we have our first at least.

Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that WWE released Dasha Fuentes. She has been a regular backstage as an interviewer for a long time and even appeared on Total Divas a time or two in a cameo role.

The reasoning for this release is unclear. She joined WWE in 2014 as part of NXT as a wrestler and quickly transitioned into being a backstage interviewer instead. She joined the NXT broadcast team and was eventually called up to the main roster to provide backstage interviews for SmackDown and 205 Live.

She recently suffered an ACL injury that took her out of commission for a while, but she recently returned to the job. Now it looks like she will be needing to find another job. Hopefully, it won’t take long for her to end up somewhere.
