Dean Ambrose is on his way out of WWE in the wake of his farewell on Monday Night RAW last night, but the big question remaining is what will he go and do next?

A lot of fans would like to see him make appearances in a series of different promotions around the world, as he begins the process of getting back out onto the independent scene. Others, however, would like to see him make the transition over into All Elite Wrestling.

AEW are no strangers to a little bit of teasing on social media, and right after Dean’s exit from the company was pretty much confirmed last night, they took to Twitter in order to start off the rumour mill once again.

Even if you’re a big old pessimist, there’s no way of getting around the fact that Ambrose to AEW is a really intriguing prospect. There are some great matches available to him if he decides to go down the route, and you just know that he’d be pushed as one of the promotion’s most prominent stars.

The expectation is that he’ll return to WWE one day with even more momentum than he originally had when he left, but we don’t think that’s a guarantee by any stretch of the imagination.

He’s going to be making some good money if he decides to sign on the dotted line with AEW, but more importantly than that, he’s going to have significant creative freedom. Given what we’ve come to learn about Dean in the last few years, that seems like a vital part of the pro wrestling process for him.
