Rey Mysterio suffered an injury on the Monday before WrestleMania. He was in a match against Baron Corbin and was injured from a spot while flipping over The Lone Wolf. The injury wasn’t Corbin’s fault, but some were still worried that Mysterio wouldn’t be able to compete against Samoa Joe at WrestleMania.

During the WWE Hall Of Fame Red Carpet, Mysterio and his son Dominick were interviewed about the weekend. Rey’s ankle injury naturally came up and Mysterio was quite candid about the subject.

“After Wednesday when I got into New York the only thing I’ve done for the last couple of days is ice my ankle, raise it up and I’ve been using some new technologies to take care of the inflammation and the swelling. Pain is almost gone. I’m about 95% free right now and in range of motion I’m about at 90%. So I have one more night to soak it all in and be ready for tomorrow so I’ll be good by tomorrow.”

Hopefully, Rey Mysterio is able to heal up in time to compete at the high level we have come to expect from him. He will be facing Samoa Joe who is a guy that seldom takes it easy on anyone, especially if someone’s children are present.
