WWE SmackDown Live is moving to Fox in October and even though we still have six months until that move goes down they’re already talking about a big change.

Dave Meltzer opened up about this on Wrestling Observer Radio. Apparently, WWE is thinking about turning the blue brand’s show into three hours with a third hour taking place on a different channel. After all, FS1 needs programming after losing the UFC deal.

“It is speculation [at this point] but there is a chance… there is definitely a chance of that because the feeling is that since they have to film anyway and 205 Live is kinda just a waste of air, it’s just not working that maybe what they’ll do is two hours 8-10 on Friday nights and do hour 3 on FS1 with the idea that they can get another $50 million a year off of Fox by giving that extra hour.”

Meltzer said it’s not like it’s a done deal, but it’s more than just throwing out an idea. This is being talked about and “in the financial community they’re expecting it actually.”

We will have to wait and see what happens, but WWE’s move to Fox in October could come with some very interesting results. We might also have to wonder what will happen to 205 Live in the process.
