John Cena’s current “injury” is keeping him from competing at the WWE Royal Rumble event. It’s very likely that WWE knew Cena wasn’t going to make the Royal Rumble event because he has a movie to shoot up in Canada.

The problem remains that with Cena out of the match then that leaves a spot to be filled. It looks like WWE didn’t have to look very far to get that job done.

WWE announced that Braun Strowman will be replacing John Cena during the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. Strowman was previously booked for a WWE Universal Title match against Brock Lesnar but he was pulled from that match.

Now Strowman will have a chance to earn another title shot after losing this last one because he tore the door off of Vince McMahon’s limo.
