WWE is always looking for great talent on and off the screen. The professional wrestling business extends far beyond what you normally see on camera. Impact Wrestling recently lost two great assets to their backstage operation to WWE in Abyss and Sonjay Dutt.

PW Insider reports that the strong belief from mulitple sources say both Abyss and Sonjay Dutt have already left Impact Wrestling and both are expected to be in WWE shortly.

It was said “Impact Wrestling informed their roster of the departures in an email that wished each of them well.”

Abyss and Dutt offer way more than just veterans performers in the ring. They were working backstage for Impact Wrestling and although it wasn’t explicitly said in Mike Johnson’s report, it is expected that they will be starting with WWE shortly in a backstage capacity.

Abyss was a backstage producer for Impact Wrestling after a long history with the company as an in-ring performer. Sonjay Dutt was working on the creative side of things and it is said that Tommy Dreamer and Konnan were brought in to fill Sonjay Dutt’s position in the company.
