Big Match Not Taking Place at the WWE Royal Rumble Event

It was reported earlier today that Paige had announced on an episode of WWE Main Event that Becky Lynch would be facing Asuka for the SmackDown Women’s Championship title at the Royal Rumble.
Paige took to Twitter and announced that that match will not actually be taking place at the Royal Rumble event next month. Paige wrote, “Soooo I tried to make one last match before my time as #SDLive GM came to end…but unfortunately @BeckyLynchWWE vs. @WWEAsuka for the Smackdown Women’s Championship is NOT official for #RoyalRumble. #Oops”

As of this writing there is no indication on who will challenge Asuka for the SmackDown Women’s Championship but we will keep you updated.
