To say Austin Aries has been perceived by many to be a controversial figure in the wrestling industry over the past few months is an understatement. His actions at Impact Wrestling’s Bound For Glory PPV, planned or not, were looked at negatively by thousands of wrestling fans across the world- as indicated on social media.
Despite all of this, Aries seems to have many fans in Australia. World Series Wrestling (WSW) is known as one of the most prominent promotions in Australia, and the company recently had their Champion in Aries return for the latest tour, which is based around The Elite.
As one Reddit user showcased, Aries worked as the referee during a match between Slex and Chris Basso at the Melbourne show just a few hours ago. The crowd appear to be behind the former Impact World Champion- and judging by the fact that he still has the Championship title- it is likely he continues working for the promotion.

Moving forward, Aries will seem to have a spotlight on him wherever he goes. For better or for worse, Aries is a household name and his actions will continue to cause a reaction, much as it did during the Melbourne WSW show tonight.
Where do you stand on Aries right now? Does the exit from Impact Wrestling still agitate you? Let us know your thoughts, opinions, and reactions in those comments below.
