WrestleMania is coming up very soon — at least tickets will be on sale so you can start saving up for Axxess and all the other events going on around Mania that are worth attending. To kick off the ticket sales right, WWE is throwing a party at Metlife Stadium and there are 3 matches announced so far and they all sound very interesting.
Matt Riddle hasn’t even wrestled a TakeOver match at this point in his WWE career, but he will square off against Kassius Ohno in what appears to be the main event of the 3-match event. We expect a lot of great things from Matt Riddle as his star power grows in NXT. Hopefully, he will be just as successful on the WWE main roster eventually.
Mae Young Classic standouts Kacey Catanzaro and Rhea Ripley will also be competing against each other. Catanzaro is from American Ninja Warrior fame and recently joined the NXT Performance Center and has been getting rave reviews. Ripley is also a great competitor but she might be best known as the opponent facing Tegan Nox when she destroyed her other knee during the MYC.
But the match has really grabbed our attention will see Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins team up once again for a match against the Singh Brothers. Ryder and Hawkins have their own podcast now, The Major Wrestling Figure Podcast — but they are also former WWE Tag Team Champions.
It looks like WrestleMania is getting a proper kickoff with some very exciting matches announced so far and this is just to hype ticket sales.
