It appears the Evolution PPV set to take place in Uniondale, New York this weekend is continuing to hold surprises for long-time fans wishing to see returning figures as Vince McMahon’s company continues to grow and evolve their women’s wrestling.
WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair is, according to PWInsider, slated to be at the Evolution PPV. He is likely to either have a backstage segment with real-life daughter Charlotte or accompany her to the ring for her bout against SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch.
Given that the match between Charlotte and Lynch is billed as the first-ever Last Woman Standing match, it is likely that Flair will be kept backstage so as not to interfere within the match. He could be used if WWE decided to have a double turn during the match, though we have not heard any confirmation on what the plans with the bout are.
We previously confirmed a number of legends and female talent from NXT have been confirmed to appear at the Evolution PPV. They will likely be included in the battle royal.
What do you feel Flair’s role will be? Do you feel Flair should be involved in the show, given that it is billed as an all-women’s PPV? Let us know your thoughts, opinions, and reactions in those comments below.
