We keep a close eye on everything in the Internet Wrestling Community and we’ve received a few messages from fans who are confused about something. While we try our best to make sure to only provide you with the best in pro wrestling news and rumors, there is one floating around out there that we just have to speak on.
There are a few social media pages who specialize in pro wrestling “news” that have reported WWE has canceled their Crown Jewel event. There was no proof given except for the report they made up.
This is not the case and Crown Jewel is still a thing as evidenced by the fact that WWE continued to stack the World Cup Tournament on SmackDown Live last night.
Bryan Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Live that he hopes that this rumor started because he joked that Crown Jewel was taking place from an undisclosed location when it was brought to his attention. Then he made it very clear.

“Crown Jewel is on and it’s emanating from Saudi Arabia.”

So there you go. Crown Jewel IS HAPPENING. The only reason why they didn’t mention Saudi Arabia on television this week was that of the current controversies surrounding the country. Of course, just mentioning the event on microphone got The Undertaker booed so people still aren’t happy about it. But then again, it’s impossible to be happy about everything that happens.
